Our purpose

The primary purpose of spreading the WORD Ministry is to reach those who are without Christ with the Gospel, and encourage the hearts of those who know the Lord.  We aim to accomplish this purpose by preaching the gospel by means of radio and internet.

Our mission

The mission of Spreading the WORD Ministry is to obey the command of Jesus.  In Mark 16:15, He said, "GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD, AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE."

Reaching every soul with the message of salvation is challenging considering the world's population has risen beyond six billion and could double by the year 2040!  The challenge becomes more burdensome when considering the fact that about seventy precious souls die every minute.

The challenge is great, but the Bible makes it very plain that God desires every person to come to the knowledge of truth.  Therefore, we believe He has given the power and potential of carrying out His command.

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and buried.

On the third day he rose again;

he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

and will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy church,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting.

Amen.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe in the verbal inspiration and inerrancy of the whole Bible as originally written, and that the Bible is the all sufficient rule of faith and practice. (Psalms 119:160, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • We believe in the three distinct persons in the triune God: God the Father , God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit: each equal in divine perfection. (Matthew 28:19, Romans 1:20)

  • We believe in the Genesis account of creation. (Genesis 1:1-2)

  • We believe Satan is a fallen angel, the archenemy of God and man, the unholy God of the world, and his destiny is the eternal lake of fire. (Isaiah 14:12-15, Ezekiel 28:11-19, Matthew 25:41, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Ephesians 6:10-17, Revelations 20:10)

  • We believe in the virgin birth and humanity of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 1:18-25, Isaiah 7:14)

  • We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. (John 10:30, Hebrews 1:8-9)

  • We believe man was created in the image of God and lived in innocence until he fell by voluntary transgression from his sinless state, the result being that all mankind are now sinners. (Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3:6-24, Romans 5:12,19)

  • We believe in the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ as the crowning event of the Gentile age. This event will include the resurrection of all the saved. The millennium will be followed by the resurrection of the unrighteous into eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (John 14:1-6, 2 Thesselonians 4:13-18, Revelations 20:11-15, Revelations 21:8)

  • We believe that the suffering and death of Jesus Christ was substitutionary, sufficient and efficient for all mankind and reject the idea that some are destined for heaven and others for hell, having no choice of their own. (Isaiah 53:6, Hebrews 2:9, 1 Peter 3:18, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 John 2:2)

  • We believe that the depraved sinner is saved wholly by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and the requisites to salvation are repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 13:3-5, John 3:16, Acts 20:21, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9) and that the Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, seals, secures, and indwells every believer. (John 3:16, John 16:8-9, Romans 8:9-11, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, Titus 3:5)

  • We believe that all who trust Jesus Christ for salvation are eternally secure and will persevere in him and will not perish. (John 3:36, John 5:24, John 10:27-30, Romans 8:35-39, Hebrews 10:39, 1 Peter 1:5)

  • We believe God deals with believers as His children, that He chastises the disobedient, and that He rewards the obedient. (Matthew 16:27, Matthew 14:23, John 1:12, Hebrews 12:5-11, John 8, Revelations 22:12)

  • We believe Jesus Christ established His church during His ministry on earth and that it is a local, visible assembly of baptized believers.

  • We believe heaven is a literal place prepared by the Lord for all who are truly saved.

  • We believe hell is a literal place and will be the eternal dwelling place for all who die unsaved. (Luke 16:16-31)
